Principal's Corner

Throughout the New Testament, faith is obviously a unifying theme.   The Passion, death, and Resurrection story we have heard in these past few weeks helped us learn that there are many different people who struggle with the same concerns that we struggle with today.  For example, Simon.  Why was he asked to pick up someone else’s cross?  Why him?  Why are this man’s problems now my problems?  Or Veronica.  She risked being branded unclean for removing her veil and offering comfort to a suffering stranger on his way to be crucified.  Why would we go out of our way to help someone when we could end up suffering ourselves?    Or, the Apostles.  They hid in fear, even denying Jesus right before his crucifixion.  And to think, these were the people upon whom our Church is built…real people, with real struggles.
