Mrs. Rubio was born and raised in la Ciudad de México, inspired by her experiences as an immigrant woman and her experiences teaching diverse groups of students. She aims to create culturally sensitive approaches in her classroom to teach the next generation of leaders. She wants to inspire students, parents, guardians, and teachers to see peoples' differences as the key to what makes people unique and strong.
Mrs. Rubio's path in Early Childhood Education began 20 years ago working at Loyola Marymount University Children's Center. In 2008, she opened a preschool program at St. Augustine Catholic School, leading as Preschool Director and overseeing the TK program. While working at St. Augustine, she taught TK and Kindergarten. Mrs. Rubio's passion for early education took her to pursue higher education, and by 2010, she received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in teaching from National University. In 2020, she graduated from LMU School of Education with an M.A. in Urban Education with a concentration in Language and Diversity.
To this date, she has been working and excelling in the education field for many years; she has a Master Teacher and Preschool Director Permit from the Board of California Commission of Teacher Credentialing and is in the process of obtaining a BCLAD Bilingual multisubject credential.
Mrs. Rubio is excited to be part of the Visitation team and of a fantastic Catholic community! Go Bulldogs!
