Meet Mr. Laner
Junior High History & Religion
Mr. Laner began his teaching career at Visitation in 1976. He graduated from Loyola University of Los Angeles where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and his California Teaching Credential. He has done post graduate work at Loyola Marymount University in Education and Theology, California State University Northridge in Kinesiology, and University of California at Los Angeles in Biology. Mr. Laner served as Assistant Principal for more than thirty years and Athletic Director and Coach for the boy's football, basketball and volleyball teams, as well as teaching Physical Education to the Junior High boys. Mr. Laner also taught Life, Physical and Earth Sciences for thirty-four years and prepped Junior High students for the annual Science Fair during that time. He is currently teaching Religion, World History, and United States History to the Junior High students.
