MESSAGE:

The Southern California Children's Scholarship Fund will be awarding a limited amount of partial tuition scholarships for children in low-income families (criteria approximating the federal lunch program) who reside within the Los Angeles Unified School District for the school year beginning September 2007. The children should be in grades K-5 in September 2007. Children entering grades 1 through 5 in the 2007-2008 school year must be currently enrolled in a public school. However, if a child will be entering Kindergarten in the 2007-2008 school year, you may apply for them regardless of what type of school they currently attend.

Applicants will be placed on a waiting list. If selected, you will be contacted by mail. Parents then provide SCCSF with financial information and have Visitation School fill out the School Commitment Form as proof of enrollment. Once selected, scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those families who complete the entire process.
