Meet Mrs. Lina Horotan-Lony
Middle School Spanish
Mrs. Horotan-Lony was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, where she earned a Bachelor degree in World Languages, Spanish and French. She completed her education with a Master’s degree in French Literature from la Sorbonne in Paris and also obtained her credentials for teaching Spanish with the French Ministry of Education.
She started her teaching experience in a Catholic High School closed to Paris, where she was particularly involved in a language exchange and traveling program for 10th graders with a Lasalle High School from Madrid, Spain. Her further work experience brought her to Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, where she taught Spanish in both American and French sections at middle school and high school levels. She also traveled to French Guiana, where she had the amazing opportunity to teach French to adult immigrants by cooperating with the French Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Outside the classroom, Lina enjoys spending time with her family and her very active 7 years old son. She also loves reading, cooking, hiking or learning… more languages such as German and Hungarian.
