The objectives of our Music program are to offer students a well-rounded understanding of music through studies in music history, music fundamentals, practical application, listening exercises, Composer Profiles, and Share Day assignments. Music history is presented chronologically as significant events throughout history, composer dates, musical historical eras, and repertoire from composers/ eras. Musical fundamentals are presented as musical notation, understanding musical symbols, learning rhythm, and application to an instrument.
Students are encouraged to participate in all performances; participation in preparation for all performances represents the accumulation of course work in Music class. |
